Artisans produce items under our own brand, Maison d’Haiti. Products are sold online, at retailers, and events throughout the United States & Haiti. As Fair Trade Federation members, Maison d’Haiti is committed to finding markets and customers for the handmade goods of our artisans. By increasing the demand for their goods, we can ensure stable, ongoing income for our artisans and their families. Every year we renew our verification with the Fair Trade Federation and demonstrate our commitment to their guiding principles.

Our artisans and staff report an average income increase of over 250% after working for Haiti Projects. This does not include the 32% of workers who were unemployed prior to working with us and who increased their income, on average, from 0 to 2150 gourdes per month. Haiti Projects’ artisans earn, on average, 262% more than the Haitian national minimum wage.
